Became interested in genealogy via my granddad: Harry Norton Hall, Jr. He has roots in FL, TX, and GA that extend to CT and VA. He has very Scottish roots and I have the choice of joining Clans: Stuart of Bute (Stewart), Ross, Hunter, Skene, or Forbes. I chose the Stewart clan based on evidence I collected from this site! My grandmother, Margaret Inez Tatum Hall has TX, LA, AL, and SC roots with highly decorated Civil War veterans that I have found from using this site! My Families: Hall, Tatum, Lockett, Leysath, Escobar, Terrell, Edwards, Ford, Morgan, Golson, Nased, Sanchez. I have roots that go way back to one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world: Quito, Ecuador, on my dad's side: (Quechua/Inca/early pre-Columbian tribes) and Spain (conquistadors).
Related to two Founding Fathers: Patrick Henry (directly via his second wife, Sarah) and Lyman Hall (indirectly through his uncle) and many Confederate soldiers in my mother's lineage. Also, I should be a member of DAR but haven't pursued it yet. My granddad survived Operation Overlord/ The Normandy Invasion or "D-Day" in WWII and served 32 years in the Army. I served as a first responder during Post 9/11 Operation Iraqi Freedom/Global War on Terrorism (USAF).
