Please DO NOT steal memorials that I, BJShields, created or take over management of them. If I haven't participated in find a grave for a while it is because I lost my child tragically and have been having an extremely difficult time dealing with it. Both Find A Grave and Ancestry have been difficult for me since I lost my child. I just discovered today that someone took over the memorial I created for my daughter Carys Shields. This is sending me into an emotional tailspin right now. Please be thoughtful and sensitive before you decide to take over management of another person's memorials. Sometimes, especially when a parent loses a child, you can't muster up the emotional energy to bring yourself to go on Find A Grave and have it in your face for however long it takes. I have been a contributor to find a grave for a very long time. My heart in that has always been my ancestral cemeteries and military cemeteries (to which the VA has given me complete access to). When I started with Find A Grave, never in my wildest dreams did I ever once think that my own child would be one of my created memorials. Please restore my family and ancestors back to me. I haven't even put a headstone on my daughter's grave because that will be the very last thing I ever get to do for her.
