At some point in my childhood, my 'tell me a story' phase became a 'tell me your story' phase. Then, a 'tell me a (insert family members' names) story.' It hasn't stopped. In fact, it has expanded - to other peoples' stories & other people's families' stories. I love a good story, especially if it's true. Social history is fascinating to me, as is the story of how we got to where we are, & became the people we are.
