Hello there, the last twenty-six years I have been working on burial lists and photographing cemeteries in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. I've enjoyed adding them online to Findagrave. With help from several folks, we've added all known cemeteries in Tippecanoe County, 138. I've digitized burial books and used old burial lists, county original receipts from our genealogy & historical libraries, plus my own photographs.

I have visited and recorded the GPS locations on about 130 cemeteries. There are a handful of destroyed locations I could not find, but most are linked. I included an overall photograph of each cemetery on Findagrave, and they are linked by camera icons on my page above. My web page also shows a link to my cemetery restoration projects that have been finished in this County. Today, I continue to help educate folks about cemetery restoration methods.

My family lines are many in Tippecanoe County: Terry, Ewry, Kantz, Morris, Nicholson, and more. I do love genealogy and helping.

Names are hard to determine at times. Records reflect spelling differently between the tombstones, obituary, or other records. Please help me make this information better by adding your gravestone photographs. Or send me details of the proof you have found. Thank you all for your continued help with your photographs and for sending updates to them.

I am working and fine-tuning entries at Greenbush Cemetery in Lafayette. Some of the records are missing; they are from the Old Lafayette City burials (1852 to 1870), but occasionally new burials are found in old newspapers, church records, or other family records. The area Genealogy Society has been working on poor burials from County receipts.

While you're out in the cemeteries, take time to look for the hand-carved rocks and homemade tombstones as they mark the graves of someone's early ancestors. They may have just been passing through on their way to the West. Please don't move them but photograph them for record preservation. I've found hand-carved and homemade stones, too.
