I've been interested in my family history and have worked on it off and on for many years. It's only in the past few years that I've become more serious and now I don't usually go a day without working on some part of my family tree.

I've always loved history and for the past several years my focus has been on the settling of the American West. I've made several trips along the Oregon Trail and have visited almost every publically accessible place along its entirety. I've also followed parts of the Santa Fe, California and Mormon Trails and the Pony Express route.

When I am not researching (or working) I like to read (mostly history) books, knit and spend time with my horses.
