My name on FG stems from how I refer to my hobby of photographing headstones when people ask where I'm going..."I'm haunting cemeteries".

I'm an advocate for photographing entire cemeteries over wandering looking for a specific grave to fill a request. Saves time overall, plus helps people find memorials for family when they might not have known their final resting place at all in order to request a photo or create a memorial. I tend to mass-photograph cemeteries in the summer, then spend the winter uploading and transcribing the photos, when the Canadian winter makes it hard to haunt cemeteries.

I am able to assist with translating/transcribing stones in the following languages: English, French, German, Russian, Ukrainian (and other Cyrillic languages). I'm also game to attempt to translate others.

Please note when suggesting edits to memorial I manage: I will modify any suggestion that is a copied obituary if it lists family members that are likely still living, to redact names. Why? Because I respect the privacy of surviving relations, and this is also what FG asks we do.
