I am a resident and native of Clark County, Wisconsin with a special interest in the Struensee family (and variant spellings such as Struense, Strunsee, von Struensee and Van Straubenzee) and also Finnish-Americans. I have been researching family and local history since the 1980's when I was in my teens. An interest in my wife's Finnish ancestors have led to four visits to Finland as well as many visits to areas where Finnish immigrants settled in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois and South Dakota. We also visited the area north of Berlin where my Struensee and Lehndorf ancestors were from.
