Born and raised in Selmer, McNairy County, Tennessee. Graduated from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 1981 with a B.S. in Business. Researching Curtis, Chambers, Cooke, Hargett, Harrell, McDearman, Pipkin in West TN and Reedy, Scribner/(Scrivner), Payne, Pierce, Moore in North Mississippi.

My interest in genealogy started as a child with a small handmade book of the Curtis side of the family dating to 1813 that my grandfather had, he left it to my father and I became hooked. While some of my memorials are of my family, any outside of that I will be glad to transfer. It is my firm viewpoint is family should be with family.

Currently (Aug/15 forward) working on cemeteries in Lauderdale County, Tennessee which is the home of my Curtis, Hargett, McDearman, Chambers, and Pipkin lines. To date, have entered over 5000 memorials to this county from death certificates (years 1914-1934), newspapers obituaries, and funeral home records.

I retired in April 2024 after 42 years in the healthcare field as Executive Director of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Married for 40 years with two daughters and three grandchildren.
