Anyone who wants to use my pictures, feel free! I believe once I post them to the Internet, they no longer belong to me. If I post a picture sideways, please let me know. There is a problem between Apple devices and Microsoft that will not always allow a picture taken on an Apple device to show correctly on Microsoft software. A temporary fix when taking pictures with an iPhone is to make sure the volume buttons are pointed down. I will use this method but may have already posted pictures, unaware that they are sideways or upside down.

I have been interested in genealogy for many years. Our history is important, not only to ourselves, but to our relatives in the future.

My dad's family is mostly from Cambria County, PA and the Mobley family mostly from Blair county, PA, coming from the Carolina's and originally from Mobberley, England. I am a direct descendant of at least two Revolutionary War soldiers, Mobley and Biddle and numerous Civil War soldiers, including five George brothers. The Rightenour and Snyder families from Indiana and Blair and surrounding counties in PA as well.

My mom's family is from Ireland originally, moving to County Durham, England because of the potato famine. They are the Scollen family, including Father Con Scollen, the Smith family (Thomas and Anne Scollen Smith) who came to the U.S. when my grandmother, Annie Elizabeth Smith was three and settled in Pricedale, Westmoreland County, PA. The McEvoy family supposedly (still working on McEvoy research) from County Kilkenny, Ireland. The McEwan, McOwan, McLean and May (O'May) families from Lanarkshire, Scotland. They settled first in Tioga County, PA and then in Clearfield County and Cambria County, PA.

My husband's family is still progressing slowly from the O'Brien side from Ireland, the Sheridan's from County Mayo, Ireland, settled in Phila., PA, the Gutberlet Family from Germany and they settled in Baltimore first then Phila., PA, the Winner and Rodgers families both settled in Phila., PA.
