I love history and Sherlock Holmes and have decided that most genealogists probably share those two great loves. We are part historian and part detective! I stand amazed at the rich tapestry of heritage we discover as we delve into the every day lives of our ancestors. We are researching our family tree and are dreaming of the wonderful Family History book we shall print for future generations to look through and learn from. We can't know where we're going if we don't know where we came from... so onward we go, researching!
I am happy to help take photos and/or help with any ancestor that we might share in common! So many cemeteries found in the woods are fun to head out to... watch for ticks, though!

SCUDDER: John Scudder from Strood, Kent, England to Charlestowne, then Barnstable, MA in 1635 and 1639 respectively. Wives: Stoughton, Hamblen, Cobb, Gage, Lewis, Webster, Bearse, Gale, Hill, Bahner, and Sander.
Six generations of the Scudder line stayed in Barnstable, MA, with the last three generations settling in St. Louis, MO.
SANDER: Hermann Sander was born in Germany and moved to OH, then Cairo, IL, and descendants to Pine Bluff, AK and Charleston, S.C. Wives: Wessel, Cohn, Shaw, Blanchard, Scharlock, Scott, Callen, Keenan, and Hammond.
HAMMOND: Lumberton, NC to GA, SC. Wives: Israel, Davis, Woodall, Rosis, Floyd, Miles, and Stevens.
FLOYD: SC; to Bedford Co, TN, Scottsboro, AL. Wives: Rosis, Miles, Stevens, Pearson, Watson, Gowen, Jacocks.
Pearson: PA, VA, SC to TN. Wives: Burgess, Smith, Jecocks, Jones, Watson, and Newsom.
Cunningham: VA to TN. Wives: Scott, Chandler, Robins, and Macon.
Card: Wiliam, MD to TN. Wives: Hughes, Neil, and Holland.
