I am an avid searcher. I have enjoyed many walks through cemeteries with my camera in hand. Now I need oxygen 24/7 which makes travel a little more difficult. I do take binoculars with me to cemeteries that I visit. I am so thankful for my husband who assists me whenever I travel. He makes cemetery visits possible for me.

Please do not add Death Certificates to the memorials I have placed on Find A Grave. Yes you are within your rights to place a death certificate on a page. I, personally, feel like it is the same as having it posted in the funeral home at the time of a person's death. It just takes away from the reason I created the memorial page. Find A Grave began as a way of connected families together and honoring them by visiting and placing flowers on their graves via internet. This website is to honor those who have left us. It was not created as a place to add all information about a person that we place in our family tree. When we begin to add US Census information, death certificates, etc., we begin to loose sight of the purpose of Find A Grave. Thank you in advance.

I have placed these memorials on Find A Grave so that we would be able to visit their graves to pay our respects. I do not leave my house much any more and this website has given me the opportunity to travel many places and place flowers on their graves. I hope future generations will smile when they find the family member they are searching for and be pleased.


It is disheartening to know that, when I die, someone can take over my work and change everything that I have done to honor my family and those surrounding them in their places of burial unless I designate someone to care for their Memorial Pages.
