MISSION: Find a Grave lists its mission as follows:

"Find a Grave's mission is to help people from all over the world work together to find, record and present final disposition information as a virtual cemetery experience, preserving the historical record." (accessed 16 Feb 2026)

Guidance also states:

"Burial Details Unknown: Find a Grave's purpose is to catalog and make available final disposition information. If burial information is unknown for an individual, Find a Grave is probably not the right place for their information." (accessed 16 Feb 2026)

Here is a pleading you to note and honor the words "final disposition information"...
