With an unbridled passion, I celebrate my rich heritage as a bi-racial Japanese adult adoptee, Yonsei (fourth generation) with profound connections to Berks County, PA, The Hawaiian Territories-Maui, Oahu, and the Japanese villages of Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Kumamoto, fueled by a mission to unite ancestors with descendants from all backgrounds and relations, fostering a legacy of love and connection that transcends time and borders.

My (First Generation) Issei great-grandparents embarked on a courageous journey from Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Kumamoto, Japan, to the Hawaiian Territories of Maui and Oahu, overcoming formidable challenges and forging a new life amidst adversity. With resilience born of hope, they endured the harsh realities of plantation life in the Hawaiian Territories and Executive Order 9066, reporting to the Santa Anita Assembly Center and subsequently relocating to the Jerome War Relocation Center in Arkansas, and later the Heart Mountain War Relocation Center in Wyoming. Fueled by determination and the promise of a brighter future, they restarted their lives with $25 and a one-way ticket, turning hardship into opportunity. Their unyielding spirit, rooted in the strength of their Japanese heritage, continues to inspire. I also proudly honor the selfless service of my uncles, both adopted and biological, who distinguished themselves in World War II as part of the renowned 442nd Infantry Regiment.

I am blessed to embody a richly diverse and expansive ancestral heritage, tracing back to my Pennyslvania German Dutch Heritage with deep roots in Berks County, PA lineage of great-great-great grandparents and ancestors spanning 15 generations, who courageously hailed from Richterswil, Canton, Zurich, Switzerland, Baden, France, and Hosskirch, Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, seeking refuge from religious persecution. As Palatines, they embarked on a journey by ship via the Hudson River, initially settling in New York as indentured servants before migrating to the Port of Philadelphia and eventually to the Berks County, Pennsylvania colonies, where they resided, passed away, and left an enduring legacy, with several male ancestors heroically serving in the American Revolutionary War. I am profoundly proud to be a descendant of The Palatine Migration and a proud descendant of SAR/DAR, honoring their remarkable story.

My mission is to reconnect with those whose stories have been overlooked, because every life holds a unique significance. Often, an obituary is the only remaining testament to a person's existence; yet, through genealogy, we can uncover far more meaningful details. It's a challenge worth undertaking, for in remembering these individuals, we weave their stories into the fabric of our collective history. This endeavor is deeply rooted in the Hawaiian concept of "Ohana"where family signifies a profound commitment to stand together, ensuring that no story is left untold.
