I was born in Springfield, Vermont, in December of 1938. My parents are Charles Wayne Pierce (1904-1974) and Edith Marion Underwood Pierce (1912-1995). I graduated from Black River High School in Ludlow, Vermont in 1956 and Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas in 1961. Judith Ann Meyer Pierce, of KC, MO, and I were married in August of 1961 in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church. Shortly thereafter, we moved to Limon, CO, where I taught and coached for over 37 years and have retired there.
