Im Gegensatz zu anderen Ländern und Kulturen existieren in Deutschland 'normale' Gräber leider maximal 25 Jahre, sofern nicht ein anderer Familienangehöriger später in der gleichen Grabstelle bestattet wird und sich die Frist damit verlängert. Danach werden die Gräber 'abgeräumt' d.h. die Grabsteine und Grabanlagen werden beseitigt und verschwinden damit.

Unlike in other countries and cultures, "normal" graves in Germany unfortunately last for a maximum of 25 years, unless another family member is later buried in the same grave site, in which case the term is extended. After that, the graves are "cleared out"—that is, the headstones and grave markers are removed and thus disappear.

When researching European names, pay specific attention to the spelling, especially when uncommon letters are involved. In German there are those "Umlaute": Ä, Ö, Ü, ä, ö, ü and ß.

Do not assume that Schäfer and Schaefer are the same. And Boeck is not the same as Böck.
