My Find a Grave Membership #47583566. I have been a member for approximately four and one-half years. I am managing my Mother: Carolyn Bass Watson Dickens; my Father: Captain Samuel Marshall Watson, who was a War Department Chemist at Sandia Base-Los Alamos, Albuquerque, New Mexico; My maternal grandparents: Lillie Belle Houston Bass and John Everett Bass, and their first child: son - William Everett Bass. I am managing my paternal grandparents: Golden Ward Watson and Samuel Morgan Watson, an attorney, and a Georgia State Senator, and their son who lived briefly and was un-named. I am managing my Beloved Husband: Rufus Edward Gandy, who passed away on April 11, 2015. I miss him so very much.

I belief that with the grief and heartaches---and the longing for those who have gone on before us---it is most uplifting and encouraging to place a flower or some special symbol that will be meaningful to the families, and to those who knew and loved those who have gone on before us. I also feel it is a Great Comfort to write special things and memories of them---not to be So Stiff!......Death is hard enough, even under the best of circumstances...I feel most earnestly that each Contributor should strive for the "human factor" with kindness, gentleness, and compassion. To place flowers, etc. with genealogy warms up each site, and lifts the spirits of all who go there---so that they may feel a special connection to each person. We live in a COLD, "all about self" world...as sad as it is to say---We who are Find A Grave Contributors are afforded a SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY to make a difference FOR GOOD. To Lift and to Encourage are two of the Greatest Callings GOD gives to mankind.....May I be counted among those who seek less perfection---and more desire for gentleness, kindness, and the compassion that is so lacking in the world that we live in.
