Find a Grave can be a frustrating site. You have certain members who think they are the 'be-all' and 'end-all' of Ancestry knowledge, have a long-winded list of "rules" when submitting edits to them, who are anal about the little things and who make life difficult for others who dont accept their opinions as 'gospel'. Then there are those memorial managers who set their own interpretation of the rules for what they believe all memorials should look like, refuse to entertain anything else and if you disagree with them they threaten to "report you'" to Find a Grave. Finally you have those 'self-important' managers who collect thousands of memorials, contribute little to the betterment of this site and just want to see their name up there with big numbers beside it. I have no time for these wanna-be dictators.

While I may not agree with you, I wont bite or make you jump through hoops if you question information on memorials I currently manage. I'm trying to improve things too so edit suggestions are always welcomed and feel free to ask for a memorial transfer if you wish. Unless they are my close relatives, i will be happy to accommodate your request.

FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO REQUEST PHOTOS, do the right thing and at least say thank you to the volunteer who used their time, equipment and fuel to get that photo for you free of charge. To those individuals who submit a multitude of photo requests at a cemetery and demand "well-focused legible high-quality gravestone photos", try to remember that these people are 'VOLUNTEERS' who dont want this as a full-time job and dont carry professional equipment. All you are doing is overwhelming the one or two photo volunteers at a given cemetery and they will stop volunteering because of the work load. For those who cant be bothered to say thank you, I cant be bothered to handle your photo requests. For those who take the time to say 'Thank you', you are very welcome and I'm glad i could help you out! And finally, for those people who criticize photos taken by the volunteers on this site (see above) buy a camera and do it yourself.
