What started off as a a small quest to gather pictures of headstones to join Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), turned out to be something I enjoyed doing.

I'll be the first to admit that years ago, I thought taking pictures of headstones was odd. As I've gotten older and into genealogy, I realized it's important to preserve our ancestors memories the best way we can. These pictures are a great way to do just that.

My goal in doing this is to help families and friends remember loved ones and keep their memories going .

Some of the pictures I post may not be legible. My intent is to go back during nicer weather to clean them up and take better pictures, but at least this way they are documented.

Sometimes I try to leave the background in my photos, so if someone wants to visit a loved one, it may be easier to find their headstone by seeing the surroundings.
