My first introduction to Find A Grave was as I was searching for a distant relative in a central U.S. state many years ago. I was amazed that there was a site that allowed me to almost be there. I now do this as a casual hobby - taking photos of gravestones in local cemeteries or those near where I travel and then researching to try to link memorials to their family members. I am trying to provide the same service that helped me in the beginning.

As far as adding photos to memorials I have created, please don't add death certificates or newspaper articles. Information contained in them may contain sensitive information (suicides, etc.) that family members may prefer not to "be out there". They would be better placed in genealogy family trees, such as Ancestry. Dates and locations about life, marriage, death and family connections (but not photos of the actual documents) are what I would like to see in Find A Grave memorials.
