I started out on this web site adding burials of relatives in my family tree from the generosity of volunteers who had posted them. I live in Southern California but most of my relatives lived in New York (1600's), New Jersey (1700's), Pennsylvania (1700's) and Ohio (post 1700's). Ohio is where I was born and raised and most of my ancestors lived and worked in Ohio after migrating for various reasons.

I am currently submitting an application to join the "Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR.)" I have many relatives who fought in the Revolutionary War but I need documented "poof" that these ancestors are in my own "blood line." I need to "prove, birth, death, spouses, and children." Since I do not have birth certificates, death certificates, marriage licenses, etc, the grave photos are helpful in "proving" the birth, death, spouse, and sometimes children (my direct ancestor.)

I love this hobby and currently have over 18,000 people in my tree. I appreciate all the volunteers who took photos of my family's graves. I am just starting to take photos of graves in my local cemetery in hopes that I will help another family with their search.
