I began looking into my own ancestry about 10 years ago. I knew a little about my father who died when I was 12. When I was in my 40s I researched his resting place. It was drizzly day, when I trekked through the graveyard with my 88 year old maternal grandfather and my uncle. We walked up and down the rows trying to find it. After an hour, I finally found it. Funny, it was right in across from my mother's side of the family. They had lived across the street from one another in life. This got me interested in researching not only my ancestry but helping others connect and honor their ancestors. A piece of history that could be passed down generations.
