I have completed an Obituary Index for those obituaries published in Saskatoon's local newspapers before 1946. I have pretty much completed years 1902 to 1945 with the exception of a few months for which I have yet to find a source. Recently, the City of Saskatoon Archives received copies of the Saskatoon Phoenix, April to September 1918, which were not available elsewhere.

Find-a-Grave is very helpful, particularly in finding the first names of women whose obituaries were published using their husband's first names. i. e. Mrs. John Smith. Often burial records include birth dates as well. You can check out my work here: http://terryhoknes.com/obituary.htm
