Aloha, My name is Christine Ukauka (née Mau), a lifetime resident of Kailua, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. I have had a lifelong interest in history, but in the last 16 years, I have become the family genealogist for my children's fathers' families, as well as my own. It's been my desire and passion to pass on the knowledge and memories of those close to us and also our ancestors, regardless of how or why they may or may not be a part of our current lives. I enjoy helping friends and family find information about loved ones, hoping it can bring them a sense of peace, closure, or closeness despite the distance between here and beyond. This personal passion is now my profession and am happy that I get to do professionally what I love. I am currently the on-site Genealogist and Director for the Digital Archiving project at Kawaiahaʻo Church in the heart of Honolulu.
