My genealogy journey started with stories told to me by my grandmother about our family's Maine seafaring history. In particular, the story she told me of my great-grandmother's birth at sea and not setting foot on land until she was three years old.
My research didn't start in earnest until years later and the discovery of FindaGrave has been a tremendous resource. I really enjoy fulfilling photo requests, in part, to pay forward those who have so generously fulfilled my photo requests.
