Just a local Kirkby man from a very large military family, who has a passion for historical military graves. Having visited so many around the world.

As a volunteer for the Eyes On Hands On (EOHO) programme for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, I visited the War Grave of Fusilier Lesley C Walton in Section D at St Chad's Churchyard. I returned over a few days to clean his grave and this made me take an interest in St Chad's Churchyard,as well as all the others I visit.

I have been taking photographs of Headstones and recording the inscriptions and plot numbers where they are missing.

Once the core records are updated, I will go back and look at Ancestry to find missing information.
