Find a Grave ID

Bio

I LOVE history and genealogy! Find a Grave supports both and is such a wonderful tool for those researching. Photographing gravestones and markers locally has become a quick hobby and passion of mine, especially those of babies, children and Veterans! It is very frustrating for me, to find ground grave markers overgrown and barely visible! Or, to see overgrown, barely visible veteran plaques, which happens a lot with those that are placed away from the grave marker. I try to fill as many requests (and GPS ones I have filled!) as I can while walking cemeteries. I also try to find an obituary for the many gravesites I have photographed. When doing genealogy research, finding an obituary is sometimes like finding 'gold' with the information it can provide! I often catch myself falling down multiple 'rabbit holes', trying to connect deceased family members on Find a Grave, and looking up obituaries of people I'm not related to, nor have ever known personally, to add to their memorial. :) My goal is to make someone's search, now and in the future, a little bit easier. I hope I have respectfully accomplished that.

*Please feel free to use any of the photos I have taken with no need to credit me! If you use an obituary, I ask you at least credit the newspaper source. I will happily transfer memorials upon request unless they are a relative of mine. :)*

*Side note: I am a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and also The General Society of Mayflower Descendants.*
