New York State Dept of Taxation & Finance employee for more than 24 years. Born and raised with my brother (Rik) in Omaha, Nebraska by my Dad (Ralph) and Grandparents (Dorothy & Harold). I've lived in Madison, WI; St. Paul, MN; Minneapolis, MN; Albany, NY; & Niskayuna, NY. Married and divorced twice. I live with my 2 kids, Sid & Mady, and our 3 cats. I enjoy tracking down my family's history, finding their graves and making sure they are GPS'd. My daughter and I have gone on many roadtrips and stopping at family cemeteries from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Colorado, to find their graves, make sure there's a photo and adding the GPS coordinates. I do my best to research before a trip, find and connect all siblings to their parents to ensure their profiles are complete. Being from Nebraska, it has blown my mind that I can find my 10x great grandparents buried within a few hours of my home in New York (descendant of Richard Warren, Mayflower). I am not joking, but it's funny to say, that I would not be here if it wasn't for Abraham Lincoln and his Homestead Act of 1862.
