I came upon Find-A-Grave by happenstance while scouring the limited online information for my own mother & father and have been heartily amazed in the details, the expertise and of course the passion so many contributors bring to the table. Coincidentally my older brother has an ardent interest in our own family's genealogical linage, and I hope to complement some of his astonishing work if & where I can. Once I have more experience, I will be making various requests to have my family memorials transferred to me, to consolidate my ancestral tree.
I want to help others, if I can, especially families locating burial sites, and honoring our pioneer ancestors in Central Alberta, so that they will always be remembered. I have a deep passion for both Veteran's and their memories, as well as older (almost forgotten) burial sites.
I am not at all a genealogist, but have years of data management, thru quality assurance and data governance practices. I am a promotor of "data as an asset" and see genealogy and "Find-a-Grave" a perfect marriage of these ideals. I can be my own worst enemy, if I see something that doesn't look right… and can go down the rabbit hole if I see something incomplete or an error.

Transfers:
At this time, I don't plan on creating very many memorials, but if I do for whatever reason I will gladly transfer the memorial to a family member upon request. Requests outside of Find-a-Grave's required transfer policy will be transferred on a case-by-case basis. Please state your relationship to the deceased.
Suggested Edits:
Find-a-Grave guidelines now show that memorial managers are responsible for researching edits, and edits are to be accepted or declined based on their research, or the research that is sent to them. When suggesting edits, please include complete source citations (ie birth/death/marriage registrations, obit info etc.) by transcribing them to the bio or note section.
