I have a great interest in genealogy but find very little time to devote to it; hopefully that will change some time in the future. I decided to join Find-a-Grave when I found egregious errors in my own family's listings (e.g., my mother's shows her adoptive parents as her birth parents, and doesn't mention her first husband, who was the father of her children). My family includes surnames such as Wood, Post, Brainerd/Brainard, and Callahan. My interest in genealogy also extends to my professional life, as I am an Abraham Lincoln portrayer and people often asked me: "Are you related?" (the answer is "probably", but you have to go back to the Burr family in the 17th century).
