I've always been fascinated with old cemeteries and the history that they hold.
I live near Grandview Cemetery in Johnstown, PA. It's one of the largest cemeteries I've ever seen next to Arlington in DC. I've spent many hours exploring & reflecting on its history. It contains an interesting walking tour which includes a plot of 777 unidentified victims of the Johnstown flood on May 31, 1889. Many of the other flood victims are also buried here.
I joined Find-A-Grave to explore family genealogy and help maintain their memorials. I'm also interested in helping photograph nearby graves.
My family names are Geortz, Smith, Alsworth, Strazisar, Buttenfield, Hertrick. and Kearns.
