Just someone that finds cemeteries interesting. I love the history and feel that documenting this history is important. I like the smaller cemeteries.
US Navy (AG1 during Desert Storm) and US Air Force (MSGT/Health Services Administration (4A071)/First Sergeant(8F000)) Veteran.
I'm on a mission to get all of our fallen veterans designated as veterans with the "V" on their memorial along with the inscription. The inscription is important for those that have visual impairment. Reading tools for those with visual impairment do not read what is on the photo of the stone/marker and AI just isn't there yet! So... having the inscription in the inscription field is important.
I follow DoD's rules on using military rank/position as a prefix/title. The individual must have passed while in performance of duties while on active duty or must have retired from the military with good service. If I have any memorials that I manage that do not meet this requirement but are marked with their rank, then that's how they were when I got the memorial and I simply have not corrected it yet or am in the process of researching that individual.
