∼Suggested Edits:

I'm very keen to accept any edits that connect a person to other members of their family OR that provide more insight into the life that person led.

The Find a Grave Management guidelines regarding suggested edits are as follows :-

"... as the manager of the memorial, you have the responsibility to research the edits that are sent by 'Suggest Edits' or 'Suggest other Corrections.' You should accept or decline the update according to your research or the research that is sent to you".

I have received a number of suggestions with incorrect information. The bulk of these incorrect suggestions seem to have been copied from unsourced "information" taken from on-line family trees.

Suggested edits are best supported by a source document; for example, a government or church registration for birth, marriage, death, or published newspaper articles. Presumably, when you send suggested edits, you sourced the suggestion(s) from somewhere. So….please provide that source., either as :-

# a photograph (of the document) or as

# text added into the Biography section.

Any links provided to other sites must have a viewable document, and not go to a sign-up page.

Research can take many hours, and I should not need to spend time searching for records that you have already found.

It is important to me that the memorials be accurate so that the person the memorial is representing is being honestly and realistically portrayed.

I will attempt to verify your suggested edit(s), but please be aware that if you have not indicated a source and I can't find one, I will probably decline the suggested edit(s).
