My name is Tom Voss. I am 66 currently. I am married 45 yrs Feb 2024.
I have two married daughters and three male grandsons. I served for 4 years in the USAF. 2 of those years were in Germany. I was on active duty from 1975 to 1979. I came home, got married to the wife who has hung in there for 45 years. I rapidly landed a job with GTE in my home town in 1979. I was a Microwave radio technician for the first 11 years. After that I moved to Outside Plant Engineering. I was a Senior OSP Engineer for 7 yrs. In 1998 I was promoted to Section Manager of OSP engineering with the job being in Gresham, Ore. We moved to Gresham and was there for 5 years. In 2000 GTE merged with Bell Atlantic forming Verizon. In 2003 I was promoted again to Manager of Network Engineering with the job being in Everett WA. So we moved to a little town called Snohomish, 6 miles from Everett. My office was in the Verizon Regional Headquarters building. when GTE and Bell Atlantic merged to form Verizon. I worked another 4 yrs and threw in the towel. Retirement at age 50 with 29 yrs of service. I became a contributor for Find a Grave as a spin off of my work in Ancestry.com. I have built an extremely large family tree and I had headstone photo's of my passed on family as well as my wife's.
