My name is Stephanie Mitchell and I live in Sublimity, Oregon located where the valley meets the cascades. I learned of Genealogy from my grandmother and the importance of family history. I have a historical research and preservation background which allows me to continue to enjoy those great connections every day.
My husband's family history is my calling. They did a fine job in preserving their images, items of significance, stories both written and orally. My husband and I now have the honor of not only managing the historical items, but also working on a historical display project in Hope, Idaho. We also continue to maintain all 37 cemetery plots for our loved ones at beautiful Lake Pend Oreille in East Hope Cemetery. We will retire to Hope full time in September 2026 and my goal is to expand our historical research experience into the entirety of the cemetery. So many families we all know there that it is truly a heart calling.
Right now I've taken on the job of historical preservation and inventory of stones and records for two Pioneer cemeteries, Anderson Lone Fir and Glover Homestead. Each located on a knoll which was considered the most beautiful of Waldo Hills.
