Bio

  • Please do not add photos of the person that you copied from online obituaries to my memorials unless you are a relative or have permission from the family to add the photo, they are personal family photos and not yours to share.

I'm an Irish Defence Forces veteran from Porthall, Lifford in County Donegal, Ireland.

With the family tree complete, as a pastime I'm photographing as many headstones as I can with the goal of helping others with their trees.

Our family tree has spread to places like Netherlands, Scotland, England, Australia, South Africa, USA, Canada. All from a small area of east Donegal.


I include genealogy and obituary information in the Bio Section, adding this is within Find a Grave rules. They even say..... "We encourage members to share genealogical information"

If I put any incorrect information in, please let me know or suggest an edit.


I add the 'Veteran' tag to those killed in action/died in service. I know it isn't the standard to refer them as Veterans but it is necessary for the purpose of searching find a grave for service personnel.


When I add a photo to a memorial that already has a photo, it's not that I don't like your photo. It's because my photo has GPS and that helps people locate graves in the cemetery.
