I am the new generation of volunteers being only 25 years old. I grew up watching my Mom in action. Her love for cemeteries, American Civil War history, patriotism, and chasing her family roots have rubbed off on me. I started out her tag-a-long volunteer and research buddy. I never thought I would follow in her footsteps, but here I am. Photographing, restoring and preserving old cemeteries are my thing. I am a member of the Daughter's of Union Veterans of the Civil War and The National Women's Relief Corps. And I can't believe I'm saying this but I like "History" We just recently cleaned headstones of 7 Civil War Nurses buried in Oklahoma and our hunt continues for more. And we are restoring one nurses monument as well as our ancestors Prairie Cemetery in NW Oklahoma. We have restored and erected 26 headstones that have been toppled for up to 75 -90 years. Updating the photos on this site was so exciting and the project is almost complete. My Mom says there is "Hope yet" for the next generation.
