I started out on what was meant to be a genealogy search for relatives from the past. Now it's become a habit to research on photo requests and give blank profiles an identify at the calls from those who still think about them.

I'm a member of the Derbyshire Family History Society and have been living in the county for over 30 years. I'm happy to help in and around the Derbyshire border. I've become somewhat fascinated by local history, especially people involved in tragic events and unsolved crimes.

I've enjoyed visiting cemeteries since I can remember my first visit to see a relative. I like the tranquillity and as my eyes wander to nearby graves, my curiosity grows and I'm intrigued by the concept that I was just a background character in these people's lives.

On the memorials I create I try to give as much timestamp content as I can find. From time to time I obtain burial registers where my aim is to upload the names that appear on them. As you can imagine, looking up every single name would be very prolonged so they're uploaded in the respect of any possible related research.

Suggestions and edits I will approve if you are able to personally verify or I am able to verify by the use of records and online databases. All my references, sources and documentation come from, but not limited to, the following databases: Ancestry.co.uk, British Newspaper Archive and Deceased Online.
