As a clinical photographer, I specialize in documenting and recording through images. I'm driven to visually preserve our times by capturing the historical information and memories etched in stone before the elements erase them forever. My personal motivation stems from a poignant loss – my great-grandfather's stone, which I vividly remember visiting as a child, is no longer there. It's now just a memory, and that loss has inspired me to ensure others don't have to experience the same, as nothing lasts forever. I believe no gravestone, no matter how big or small, modest or elaborate, should be missed – each has been lovingly chosen to represent a loved one's life and deserves to be preserved. Through photographing gravestones, I aim to contribute to historical preservation by recording their history for future generations and supporting genealogy research, preserving vital details about individuals and family relationships that will serve as invaluable resources for those tracing their heritage. Additionally, families move across the world, making it impossible to visit ancestors' graves. By photographing these gravestones, I hope to provide a meaningful connection to their roots and heritage for families who can't be there in person.
