Researching my immediate family and relatives. I have always been interested in genealogy since I was a young man. Learning where I came from and where family came from through family roots, traced through bloodlines and DNA, after recently receiving my DNA results after taking a Ancestry DNA kit, and sending in my DNA. I now know where my DNA is connected through my Maternal and Paternal sides of my family.I ask one question, how does an obituary state that a deceased person is laid to rest at a certain Cemetery and the Cemetery has no recollection or a located grave for the deceased person ? i have never understood that. Then why state that the person is buried in a Cemetery when in fact that they are not. Maybe the obituary should state the the deceased person's burial details are unknown. Also how is a Memorial not updated with death dates, long after the person has passed away? To be precise 40, 50 years later and still not updated? I take initiative to photograph headstones for family members of the deceased, as well as clean up the headstones of the deceased. I have been working on updating photos of cleaned headstones for the family members. I also have been replacing worn/weathered flags on the graves of Veterans. Ensuring Veterans get the respect and debt of gratitude that is owed to them at their graves.
