Death is not a respecter of persons.

At a young age, I accompanied my grandmother to the Blackville, South Carolina Cemetery, to clean off graves at the Blackville Cemetery. There are two Blackville, SC "Blackville" cemeteries: 1). The Blackville Cemetery 2). The Blackville Colored Community Cemetery. For my grandmother had parents, an older brother, and two infant siblings that are buried in the latter. However, she took the time to clear the graves (the cemetery caretakers do a solid job but are overworked) of strangers in both cemeteries.

I have followed this website since 2000 and it is long overdue for me to contribute. I will start with the memorials of those I knew, and eventually assist with adding photos to established memorials. Please message me if I make any mistakes. My retirement from the Navy has made Maryland home, but I lived in South Carolina until 2004.
