I found Find A Grave when I was looking for information about my deceased relatives who my dad was missing and asking about. I printed the information and put it in a notebook for him to look at, and it was a great comfort.

After my parents recently passed, I decided to create a family tree for my family that would provide photos and information that would be more meaningful than a list of names and when they died. Find a Grave is perfect for that.

When I request a record, I worry that I'm bothering the person who is managing it, because some have thousands of memorials! I make the request because I'm diving deep into family papers and photos, and may have to make edits more than once as I learn more. It's quite a puzzle, and I'm finding it easier to manage family memorials.

I'm grateful for the volunteers who have taken countless photos and saved information about people they aren't related to. They have helped me find relatives I knew along with a few "great greats" that are an important part of my family history. It's an emotional roller coaster, but wow, how fascinating it is!
