PLEASE, don't send a gender suggestion unless there is a legitimate reason to clarify gender or you are sending it along with other suggestions. I will always tend to any other edit suggestions sent via the EDIT tab. I will only refuse a suggestion if I'm personally aware that incorrect info is being suggested. I will add condensed info from an obituary but I will usually omit the names of currently living listed therein.
