I don't view the memorials I manage as something I "own." We are caretakers of the records of people who lived real lives and whose families still care about their memory.

FindaGrave is useful in different ways -- some see it as a Cemetery Record, others as a Genealogical Resource. Both are valid and each individual Memorial page can reflect accurate Cemetery/Plot information as well as Biographical/Historical information on the individual that Memorial page was created to honor. My hope is that the Memorials I work on remain accurate, respectful, and helpful to families and researchers alike. 

Recording these details is both a responsibility and an honor.

The information we record today may become part of someone's family history tomorrow. Because of that, I try to document what I add as carefully as possible and welcome collaboration when it improves the record.

It's a privilege to help preserve these Memorials & memories.

My goal is to keep memorials as accurate and dignified as possible so future researchers and family members can rely on the information recorded here.
