Hi there!

I am a known advocate and author from Chicago. My focus is on trauma, how it effects ones life and the unseen changes it has on the brain and then genetics. How generational trauma is real and everything always boils down to mental health.

I have a fire passion for those who are living and those who have passed. Their lives, language, traditions and individual history mattered. Their stories are far to often lost due to social conformities. It is amazing how HEALING it is to know where you came from, to know information about those before you.

Since Ancestry has made it increasingly, incredibly difficult to trace, track and collect information with out paying (and even with paying, information is not certified/verified) I am grateful for Find A Grave and those of us who are updating with information we find in our searches.

While I do walk Cemeteries in Chicago and Texas, I enjoy virtually visiting a Cemetery and researching individuals whos' profiles need identifying information so their relatives can find them in their searches. I particularly enjoy updating/adding their picture, so the one who is searching for them is greeted with their image rather than their headstone.

Note: As an author I am well informed with; fair use laws, copyright and what is considered a public record. Find A Grave does have it's own rules as well. It is up to us to manage the profiles appropriately and verify edits recommended (on your own), communicate before a denial etc... If you are not able to do this, please allow someone who is able to. Pass on to family members when requested. With all that said, I do not create my own rules, nor will I abide by made up rules I see on others profiles.
