A little about me:

I was born and raised right here in the Hudson Valley. For the past 350+ years my direct bloodline had farmed the lands in Rensselaerville as well the underlying valleys such as Kinderhook, Stephentown, Nassau and Hudson.

My direct blood first came out of Connecticut from England. The Bouton last name originating from "Dit De Boughton" in Bourgogne, France.

My life's purpose is to find, document and archive my ancestors graves for future generations as apart of the A.R.K (Archive, Remember, Keep) project. Much was lost between the generations, it comes to a halt here and now.

I currently reside in Berlin, NY. I am going to work on helping other families out with finding, cataloging and saving their own families lineage from being lost to the onslaught of time.

These words on this page shall outlast my years. Heed this warning, those of the future or present who may stumble across this. Write down carefully, sew your archives gently, speak my name not with grief or with mourning. I did my holy duty to our family, spoke the names of the ancestors, welcomed the past into my life. Be cheerful and merry, for it was my turn once to sew the seeds of your archive.

Look upon the soil of the Earth and the light of the Heavens, know that I once too had beheld the sight that our God had created. Listen gently to the wind in the night, for it is a reminder that we once too had tread upon the Earth you inherited. In the silence and stillness of a room, turn inside yourself, listen to your heartbeat in your ears and chest, for it is your ancestors who whisper blessings with each beat.
