I have been tangentially interested in my family genealogy for several years through the efforts of my extended family. I, myself, am just getting directly involved where my aunt, Rhonda G. Fellers, left off. She was active in the last few years, along with her cousins, James "Jim" Richardson and wife Kay Richardson, and Linda Richardson Shelton. Their double 1st cousin, once removed, Peggy, got the family started, and they picked up the torch after her passing. Rhonda, Jim, and Linda's grandparents were Odes Franklin Fellers and Erma Modene Aughtry Fellers and Peggy's parents were ? ? Fellers and ? ? Aughtry; brothers who married sisters.

As the older generations pass on, their knowledge and efforts are too easily lost. So, I hope to continue on so future generations will know their roots.

Jim and Kay Richardson started hosting an annual Aughtry/Fellers/Richardson family reunion over Labor Day weekend about 20 years ago at Richardson Farms near Rockdale, TX. Since then, hosting has been shared between their farm, and their generation's cousin's homes in East Texas over either Labor Day or Memorial Day weekends. If we are related, and haven't met, I hope we will be able to welcome you at a gathering in the future!
