Old Union Cemetery is located in the village of Stone Church in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., PA. It sits adjacent to Trinity United Church of Christ, one of two churches to which this burial ground first belonged. The other is Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. A board of directors representing both churches is responsible for cemetery maintenance. Old Union Cemetery is the final resting place of twenty-six known Revolutionary War Soldiers. The first burial was made in 1794 and the last was in 1909.
In 1909, Kathryn and William Atchley, published a booklet, "Inscriptions in the Old Union Cemetery" from gravestones they found & read there. In December of 2024, a new booklet was done after going row by row, reading the gravestones and notating their location in the rows. The cemetery was divided into two sections, an Upper and Lower Section. A map was created, and updates were made to the Find a Grave memorials, listing the row, and location in the row the gravestones were found. New gravestones were found in the 2024 inventory, that was done along with corrections to existing stones from the 1909 inventory. Both of these booklets can be found in the Marx Room of the Easton Library.
