The cemetery is a one half acre plot purchased in 1905 by Peller Post 89, Grand Army of the Republic, for the burial of soldiers and sailors of the Spanish American War and the Civil War. Family members are also buried there. Seven burial stones are on site but more burials are known. The cemetery is a triangular piece of land with a flagpole and obelisk monument; obelisk has G.A.R. on it. The site is fenced but open to the public and clearly visible from nearby roads.
