Davis Cemetery was created by John Davis on land set aside from his farm in the Town of Newport, NY, in the early years of the 19th century. It is sometimes called the Richards Cemetery or the Victor Road Cemetery. The cemetery is located on Victor Road about 200 feet east of Farrell Road which runs from Smoky Hollow to Martin's corners. In the early 20th century this farm belonged to Ira Budlong. There were upwards of 85 persons buried there.

Information from "The Cemeteries of the Town of Newport" by Charles L. Fellows in History of Newport, New York, 1806-1906 and from the Newport History Center.
