Sanderston is a small settlement in South Australia at the foot of the eastern slope of the Mount Lofty Ranges. The Sanderston Cemetery is situated in the Sanderston Cemetery Reserve and is surrounded by a rabbit proof fence which has helped to preserve the ‘Kangaroo Grass'. The grass once covered a large area of the surrounding hills, before rabbits had eradicated it. At times the grass may flourish in the cemetery area, but visitors are asked to take care to preserve it. After turning from Angas Valley Road onto Three Chain Road, the cemetery is located about 900m on the right.

The first recorded burial in Sanderston Cemetery occurred in 1894. Burial Register information can be found online on the Mid-Murray Council Website under the "Cemeteries" tab. http://midmurray.dcw.lga.sa.gov.au/cemetery-search
